Tucked away in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, Camp WeHaKee is about 30 minutes from Hayward. Many families choose to drive their daughters to camp, while others take advantage of our supervised bus trips from Chicago or Minneapolis. Whichever way you choose to travel, we've put together everything you’ll need to make sure your daughter’s journey here and back is as smooth as can be.
Driving to Camp
If you're hitting the road, you can find us at N8104 W Barker Lake Rd, Winter, WI.
- Opening Day: Check-in runs from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Central.
- Closing Day: Check-out is from 9:00am to 10:00am Central.
We aren't able to accommodate early or late arrivals for either day, so please time your trip accordingly. Our staff will meet you right at the front gate to say hello and help direct you to parking!
A Note on Pick-ups: If someone other than a parent or legal guardian will be picking up your daughter, just let us know via email at info@wehakeecampforgirls.com at least 48 hours in advance. We can't accept notes handed to us at the gate, so a quick email beforehand is perfect.
Bus from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison
Taking the bus is a great way for girls to start making friends before they even reach the gate! The cost is $150 one-way or $300 round-trip, and we’ve even included lunch. Every bus is chaperoned by our friendly WeHaKee staff. Just be sure to reserve your spot through the camp office before the session begins and arrive at your stop at least 30 minutes early.

Bus from Minneapolis (MSP Airport)
For those joining us from the Twin Cities or flying in, the bus from MSP is a convenient option. The cost is $150 one-way or $300 round-trip, including lunch on the way home.
- Opening Day: Departure is usually around 2:00pm (we'll confirm the exact time five days before). There’s no curbside drop-off, so you’ll need to park and walk your daughter in to meet us.
- Closing Day: Arrival at MSP is estimated for 8:00am.
Where to find us at MSP (Terminal 1): Park in the Red or Blue Ramp (Level 3), head to Level T, and follow the signs for "Buses and Rental Cars." Take the tram one stop and head up to the seating area. We’ll be there waiting!
Keeping the Ride Safe
To make sure everyone has a safe and happy trip, we ask that campers stay seated with their seatbelts on and keep their hands and arms inside the bus. We’re all about having fun, but we keep things respectful so the driver can focus on the road. Our staff on the bus will handle the rest!
