Opening and Closing Days are filled with so much excitement! Because all of our camp families arrive and depart within a cozy one-hour window, we’ve found that a little bit of preparation helps the whole process feel smooth and stress-free for everyone. Here's everything you need to know to get your camper’s journey started on the right foot.
Checking In: Opening Day Drop-off
We can’t wait to welcome you! Check-in takes place from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Central Time. To make sure our staff is fully ready for your daughter’s arrival, we kindly ask that you time your drive to arrive within this window, as we aren't able to accommodate early or late check-ins.
When you pull up, our friendly WeHaKee staff will meet you right at the front gate to say hello and guide you to your parking spot.

Can we take a peek around camp on Opening Day?
Absolutely! We would love to show you around. If you’d like to help your daughter get her bunk set up and take a walk through camp with one of our directors, just send us an email at officemanager@wehakeecampforgirls.com at least three days before her session starts.
If you haven't arranged a tour in advance, don't worry—her counselors will be right there in the parking lot to give her a warm WeHaKee welcome as you drop her off!
Heading Home: Closing Day Pick-up
It’s always hard to say goodbye, but we make the checkout process as easy as possible. Pick-up runs from 9:00am to 10:00am Central Time. Just like Opening Day, we ask that you stick to this window so we can keep things moving safely for all our departing families. Our staff will greet you at the gate, help you get your camper and her luggage loaded up, and send you off with a smile!
What if someone else is picking up my daughter?
That's no problem at all! For your daughter’s safety, we just need a quick heads-up in writing. Please email officemanager@wehakeecampforgirls.com at least 48 hours before pick-up. We can only release campers to people listed in our registration system, so an advance email is required (even a note at the gate or a phone call won't be enough, in this case - we're serious about safety).
Want to visit on Closing Day?
You are more than welcome to tour around camp when you pick up your camper! To make sure a staff member is available to host you, please reach out at least three days before the session ends. You can give us a call at 608-787-8304 or send an email to our Office Manager.
