If you've accepted a position at Camp WeHaKee for summer 2026, here's what you need to know about pre-camp training and the full summer calendar.
When does staff training start?
Pre-camp training officially begins on June 1, 2026. Some optional training sessions may be scheduled before that date starting May 31, watch your email for specifics. Plan to arrive and be ready to start on June 1.
How long is training?
Training runs approximately ten days, from June 1 through June 12. The first session of Girls Camp begins June 15, so you'll have two full weeks to get your footing before campers arrive.
Where does training happen?
Training is fully on-site at camp: N8104 Barker Lake Road, Winter, WI 54896. Staff are housed on-site throughout training and for the duration of the summer. Meals are provided.
What do I need to bring?
A full staff packing list and pre-arrival checklist will be sent by email before June 1. If you have questions before that, reach out at info@wehakeecampforgirls.com or 608-787-8304.
Haven't applied yet?
We're still hiring counselors, activity specialists, waterfront staff, kitchen crew, and support staff for summer 2026. Apply here and someone from the WeHaKee team will be in touch. Full details about expectations and what the job involves are in the Work at Camp WeHaKee post.
