She tries things here she never would do at home
Girls come from all over and leave knowing each other
Riding, paddling, climbing, and skills she keeps for life
Campfires, singing, and traditions going back to 1923
Mother-Daughter Weekend is August 14-16, 2026. Rates are $375 per adult and $315 per child ages 5-14. Children under 5 are free.
You can register on the WeHaKee website or contact the team directly at info@wehakeecampforgirls.com or 608-787-8304. Space is limited, so if you are thinking about it, sooner is better.
None. Mother-Daughter Weekend is designed to be welcoming to people who have never set foot at a summer camp. Staff are around to orient you, activities are accessible to all skill levels, and there's nothing you're expected to already know.
If your daughter has been to WeHaKee before, she'll probably end up showing you around. That tends to be one of the best parts.
Most of the same activities available during the summer camp season are open during Mother-Daughter Weekend. Swimming in Hunter Lake, kayaking, canoeing, archery, arts, horseback riding, and evening campfires are all part of the experience.
You don't have to try everything. Most people pick two or three things and spend the rest of the time just being at camp.
There's structure to the weekend, but it's light. You can join activities, head to the lake, or just sit somewhere quiet with your daughter. No one is taking attendance.
The goal is time together, on your terms. Most people find a natural rhythm by day two.
Mother-Daughter Weekend runs Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Camp WeHaKee on Hunter Lake in Winter, Wisconsin.
Rates are $375 per adult (15 and older), $315 per child (ages 5-14), and free for children under 5. Three days is long enough to settle in and actually be present together, without the pressure of a full week away.
It works best for girls in elementary through early high school, but there's no hard age cutoff. If your daughter wants to come and you want to be there with her, that's enough.
Younger girls tend to love the lake and the animals. Older girls tend to appreciate having uninterrupted time with their parent away from school and screens. Both are valid reasons to come.
Any girl and the adult who is most important to her. That might be a mom, stepmom, grandmother, aunt, or another caregiver. The name of the program says mother-daughter, but the experience is really about that relationship, whatever form it takes.
You don't need a daughter who's been to camp before. You don't need any camp experience yourself. Just show up.
