Family Camp

The full WeHaKee experience, together. Five days your family won't stop talking about all year long.

Family Camp

Family Camp is a chance for families to experience the magic of Camp WeHaKee together. Parents and children stay in cabins, enjoy meals in the dining hall, and take part in the same outdoor activities that make summer camp special. It is a five-day getaway designed for connection, adventure, and time away from everyday routines.

During Family Camp, guests can swim in the lake, paddle across the water, hike wooded trails, create art, and gather around campfires in the evening. The pace is flexible, allowing families to explore activities together or simply enjoy time outside in the beautiful Northwoods setting.

Family Camp is about unplugging, slowing down, and sharing meaningful moments as a family while experiencing the traditions and spirit of Camp WeHaKee.

FAQs

Have questions?

Who can attend Family Camp?

Any family. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, kids of any age. Children under 5 attend free. Family Camp does not have a required configuration. If you want to bring the whole family or just one parent and one kid, both work fine.

What should we bring to Family Camp?

Comfortable clothes for outdoor activity, swimsuits and water shoes, layers for cool Northwoods evenings, and sunscreen. Closed-toe shoes for trail walks and the barn. WeHaKee will send a full packing list when you register.

Leave the screens at home. That's sort of the idea.

Do we need to register in advance?

Yes. Family Camp is a set session, August 9 to 13, 2026, and space is limited by cabin availability. It fills up. If you're interested, registering early is the only way to guarantee your spot.

Reach out at info@wehakeecampforgirls.com or 608-787-8304 to get started.

Do adults and kids participate in activities together?

Yes, that's the whole point. Activities at Family Camp are designed for families to do side by side. You're not dropping your kid off at a program while you sit on the porch. You're on the lake together, at the archery range together, around the campfire together.

That said, if your nine-year-old wants to kayak for three hours and you'd rather read by the water, that works too.

Is there a set schedule we have to follow?

There's a general rhythm to each day, but nothing rigid. Some activities are scheduled and open to everyone. Others you can join when you feel like it. Plenty of families spend half the day on the lake and half doing nothing in particular, and that's completely fine.

Family Camp is designed to feel like a vacation, not a program. You set the pace.
