Tuition grants are available at Camp WeHaKee for families who need financial support. We've committed more than $66,000 in grants for the 2026 season, because the only thing that should determine whether a girl comes to camp is whether it's the right fit for her, not what her family can afford.
How do tuition grants work at WeHaKee?
Camp WeHaKee offers tuition assistance directly to families who need it. No complicated application portal, no income bracket calculator, no committee review process. You reach out with what you think you can cover, we'll give you an idea of what we can cover, you'll complete a short info form, and that's it!

What if the grant doesn't cover the full balance?
If you register and financial assistance isn't available in an amount that makes camp possible for your family, WeHaKee will refund everything you've paid, including the deposit, so there's no risk in seeing what's possible.
Can I donate to help other families attend?
Yes! WeHaKee's scholarship fund accepts donations through the American Camp Association Campership Fund. When you give, you're directly funding a girl's summer who otherwise wouldn't have one.
To donate, visit the ACA Campership Fund and designate your gift to Camp WeHaKee. You can also mail a check to the WeHaKee administrative office and write "Scholarship Fund" in the memo line: Camp WeHaKee, 2027 W Division St, Box 179, Chicago, IL 60622.
Why does WeHaKee prioritize financial access?
WeHaKee has been running for over 100 years. In that time, we've seen what a summer at Hunter Lake does for a girl. The confidence she comes home with. The friends she keeps for decades. The version of herself she discovers when she's not performing for anyone. That experience shouldn't be reserved for families who can afford the full sticker price.
The $66,000+ committed for 2026 came from people who believe in that. Alumni, families, and donors who wanted to make sure every girl who's ready for WeHaKee has a real shot at getting here.
