Founded in 1923, Camp WeHaKee continues this day in the tradition of the Dominicans of Sinsinawa. All elements of the WeHaKee program are based on universal Gospel values and Catholic social principles. Camp staff and Sisters help each girl realize her uniqueness as an individual person while understanding and striving to reach her own potential. Living in a camp community with girls from diverse religions, cultures, races and economic backgrounds, allows each girl to grow and develop in an atmosphere of acceptance and encouragement. Girls of all faiths and spiritual backgrounds have always been welcome at Camp WeHaKee!
Camp WeHaKee staff includes adults (college age and older) who are carefully screened and extensively trained. They bring to life the program and activities while ensuring that each camper feels welcome and at home. Many Dominican Sisters volunteer their time to work along side the directors and counselors to provide an enrichment not available elsewhere. This integration of enthusiasm and wisdom is what creates the excellence that is WeHaKee!
Located at the base of the pristine Chequamagon National Forest on the shores of Hunter Lake, Camp WeHaKee is noted for a wide array of quality activities where each girl has an individual program based on her own choices. Camp WeHaKee campers will develop skills and make life-long friendships while thriving in a positive and supportive community all while having GREAT FUN!
At the heart of Camp WeHaKee is relationship!
Join us for a summer of a lifetime!!
